Hi forum
I'm having a problem with Usine Pro 4.2 on an XP Core2 Duo laptop using ASIO4all. I have a simple workspace based on 3 live grainsamplers and a few bits and pieces. When I change presets on the grainsamplers various things happen - the preset may change normally or the audio may drop out on that track or the audio may stop on all playing tracks. I built the same workspace in Usine Free 4.1 and no problems at all. Any ideas?
Hi and a few problems
Just a wild guess: Did you changed the multi-core setup in any way?

Thanks bsork but changing the multicore setup seems to have no effect. Very briefly, it seems that if I load a file by selecting it with the file number fader all is well. If I load a file by clicking on it in the file list, the file loads but the file number fader is not updated and does not reflect the currently playing file. If I save this as a preset I may have problems when I recall it. Seems a little odd to me but never mind. Deleting the fader and just using the file list to load samples seems to work fine and suits my workflow anyway.
To change between choosing files with a fader (or a list/combo box) as well as from the file list window, connect a PassIfHasChanged from the file output of the sampler module and then back to the fader. This is similar to what you have to do when you want to adjust a VST parameter both from a Usine module as well as the GUI. The PassIfHasChanged is needed to "break up" the loop that is being created, or else one of the controls will get "stuck" with the value of the other.
BTW, remember that all the connections or wires between modules or VSTs are uni-directional and only passes information from out to in. That is why the fader in your example isn't updated by the selection in file list.

Thumbs up bsork - got it thanks. I thought something like that would be the case. Interesting stuff to work with.
