Hi there,
Is there a way to activate multiple sequencers? What I'm looking for is the ability to load up multiple sound files and have signal processing changes in synch with the sound files. Then I'd like to cross fade another instance of sound files, and associated automated signal processing..
As far as I can see, you can only have one sequence running at one time. This is fine if you know what order you're going to play your set in but doesn't allow for much spontaneous randomness .

Thanks guys

there's also the "markers "way who could give you a solution :
add markers to the begin of each of your sequences , then use the module markers ( interface control / usine panels/ ) to recall each one in the order you need...

Yes. I can see that this would allow me to move randomly through sequences but cross-fading would not be possible.

if i get u right blugaruda, u want to do a kind of dj mixer with usine?
generally: my experience was often, that there is a lot of good stuff already made in the vst world and i rather lost time when trying to make it myself.
imho its better to always doublecheck if there is a moduel in Usine and then if there is a vst that does some things you need and to consider how to use Usine to expand and combine functionalities. but this is just my way of working with usine.

if my assumption about a dj mixer is correct be aware that u'll maybe have to deal with a lot of huge sound files (mp3 streaming becomes quickly mandatory, u cant load 10giga of wavs in the RAM).
just an idea: use 2x deckadance and remote control the playlist. then, u could combine the playlist behavior with wicked signal processing and combine this again with a crossfader for both deckadance instances - going far beyond what deckadance alone could do :)

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Both interesting. I think I'll look deeper into the piano roll, (I thought this was just note on and off) but will check it out more thoroughly. The decks idea is good too though I don't cross fade in the conventional sense. I'm just keen to have a continuous bed of sound throughout my sets.
Thank you all
