I have negotiated a reduction on the Clevo tablet pc for Usine users.

You can save directly 6%.
For a good audio configuration you can save between 80€ and 100€
A Core 2 duo 9300 4GoRAM, fastest 160Gb 7200 hard drive will cost around 1100€, included the reduction.

For that just enter SENSO in the promotional code field. (Sorry, it's a French site)

Of course I don't make any money or any benefice on the transactions, it's just a service offers to Usiners!

...but the NOK/EUR ratio is the worst ever... :( From my point of view, at least.

Hi, I'd like to know if the 6% discount on a clevo PC is still available ??
Is it isolated enough to be plugged on directly to a sound system ?
Thanks for your answer

do you mean without an external sound card (only the built in)?

did you mean with isolation magnetic shielding?

cheap laptops often have the problem that their housing isnt well shielded. the AC interferes with the soundcard and what u hear is grounding noise (sometimes modulated by HD noises). had/have this problem with my dell inspiron 8100.
there is a workaround for this (spend 20$ in a specialized electronic shop for a 'mantelfilter' (english?)).

Thanks for the tip. But what's the French for Mantelfilter ??? Did you ever have this shielding problem with your clevo ?

Absolutely no problem.
sometime I use a ground isolator (cost 0.50€) not especially on the clevo.

Hi guys !

I'm a new "futur" user of Usine pro.

I'm a fan of Reaktor and i think Usine can be wonderful for me (sorry for my crappy english , i'm french and the school is so far now... :) )

I first lookin' for a Lemur (i have a monome 128 and Audiocubes from Percussa, i'm always lookin for a new way to make music.)
But it's a little bit overpriced for me...

And i discover Usine! (i think it's a little bit under exposed, make more videos, with each add-on for example... :) )

First question (but not the last!) :

What good tablet Pc for Usine? the minimal spec/performance (i want use it like a Lemur for Live and make my own control)?
i'm lookin for a Used Dell XT Tablet (650 euros) but 1,2 ghz scare me a little...

Have you some suggestion? my budget(is the good word?) is around 600-700 euros (no problem for used gear/Tablet)

Hope you help me :)

See ya !

Ps here my myspace if you want see some videos/tracks : http://www.myspace.com/fractaldeath

I'm going to buy the Hp Tx2z more powerful and multitouch screen(well Bi touch...)
And i'm goin to try Windows 7 beta on it.

Usine can work with a multi touch environnement?
If you want when i have all the material, i can beta test your Multi touch Usine :)

See ya !

usine woks better on windows7 than xp or (of course) vista.
it's a good news!

but for the multitouch you have to test.
let me know.
I plan to work on the multitouch next month.
