Hi Guys
Is there anyone that uses Usine with a Macbook? I have the problem that i cannot go under 512 samples of latency without having clicks in my sounds. I'm using a MacBook Pro 2.5 Ghz Dual with Windows XP (SP2).

This problem occours with my internal soundcard using the Asio4All (versiom 2.9) driver.

What are your experiences with lancenty and the macbooks? I have also a Mbox2 Pro. There i use the Digidesign Asio Driver (6.1.1). There i even cannot chanche the latency...

Any suggestions?

Cheers
André

I'm on a PC w/XP Pro and I've had trouble with Asio4All versions above 2.7. Did you try an older version?

using the lower version (2.6) of the ASIO4All Driver solved the problem with the mbox2 pro. Now i can see both, the internal soundcard and the Mbox2 Pro in my Global Setup>Audio In/Out.

The minimal lacency i can use now is on the

a) Mbox Pro: 256 samples. On 128 i still can play music but then i have no more input signals. On 64 samples everything's dead.
b) Internal Soundcard: 256 samples

One Part of the problem might also be, that the mbox pro ist a Firewire Device. I'm regulary having blue-screens. And also when i boot Windows XP while having the Mbox Pro plugged in, my computer hangs up. I guess that Win XP doesn't like firewire...

Any further suggestions? I'm a drummer and 256 samples on 44.1khz is a long time...

Thanks
André
