Hi

a simple question:

Why the midi clock is not integrated in the setup as the midi time code? I think the midi clock and MMC are more often used to synchronize two software or external devices than midi time code more often used for video.

If it will be integrate in the future, it will increase the accuracy of the tempo detection in comparison of the patch (Midi clockIII) ?

the advantage of the actual solution is that we can use the total modularity of usine to synchronize several devices with different tempo.
the main drawback is, in some situation, a leak of precision.
but things are better in the v4.20.
It could be a solution to integrate the timeclock into the main core of usine but not for all utilization's?

same request here, being able to have a solid sync with other softs is a high priority for me...

I didn't realize that there was improvements in 4.2. I will have to try again, but otherwise...

...+1 for better MIDI clock integration.
The midi clock uncertainty is almost the only reason I am still using the extra resources to have Live host Usine instead of running Usine standalone. For me it is solid sync with hardware that is critical.

Also very important for me if MIDI clock is better integrated is user configurable midi clock delay/offset so that whether Usine is master or slave, the clock start can be calibrated so that I hear the audio from my hardware and software in perfect sync when pressing play. (ie: Ableton Live's MIDI Clock Sync Delay)

As far I know there is still no midi clock sync integrated to usine . I have try the midi clock receiver patch and even try to make my own. But it's really a disaster, I have no other words ! Absolutely not stable, not solid and really unusable in my case . I also guess why MTC is integrated and not Midi clock. As far I know, most of hardware send or receive midi clock, and rarely MTC. So, please, integrate time clock in the main core of usine for those who need to sync usine from external clock.
And why not create a module dedicated to midi time clock as the local sync module with 24 pulse/quarter note; 16/quarter note 12/quarter note; 8 /quarter note, 4/quarter note and whole note outputs? + start stop continue? If this solution is possible, the synchronisation modularity should be expanded a lot !

hi all

+1 for MIDI clock integration(or alike)!!

i'm using JacksonDJ, a kind of abandoned(but free) DJ software, rather a lot.

JacksonDJ

it has got this visual BeatMapper, which lets you analyze the rhythmic structure of songs very fast and beat-map it with the help of visual clues.( some spectrogram-magic ;])

Jackson can generate a midi clock signal to tempo-sync external midi equipment, but i had no luck at all with syncing it to my Usine-setup :[..
Absolutely not stable, not solid and really unusable in my case
yepp..that's also the problem here!

pleasepleaseplease&greets,
marco
