This is scary, can they be turned off?? I use the keyboard a lot to trigger loops, turn effects on and off etc and is possible that I could type the letters QUIT while doing this. That would not be good during a live set

@caco
try to calculate the probability to type the string 'QUIT' during your set, I'm sure it's highly unprobable?
This function is active since the v2, did it happen before?

about 1/456976.. but some win at loto, wonder if one ever trigged that without knowing lol
protect is a nice feature, tracename could be handy in some cases as well. cool.

It has never happened before as I am new to Usine. I have recently started working on a layout for triggering loops live using the keys including where the key 'q' loads the next wave, the key 't' halves the playback speed, the key 'u' switches a delay on/off and the key 'i' switches an autopanner on/off so the potential is there.
Think I will change my choice of keys, provided I never use the 'q' for example then I am safe
I am building a monome clone so eventually I will stop using the keys and use OSC instead so I can work around it and avoid typing QUIT by accident. Using the keys has been an experiment to evaluate/learn Usine. Up until now I have mainly been using Bidule live but I am interested in the possibilities Usine offers for live use and am very impressed. I can see me using Usine a lot in the future

hmmm, yes--q u i and t are all in the first row!!
I often use a virtual midi keyboard, and those are all primary white keys. If the wrong app is topped, I could type it pretty easily myself!
Usually,if the keyboard app isn't topped, I know right away because I hear no sound. But if I'm trying to diagnose why I'm getting no sound, i could do it by accident....
Have to be on my watch!
