Hi Guys,
I was so happy with my old Toshiba Portege M200, I've recently bought a Portege R700. This hight end laptop has an interesting feature that protects the hard drive and your data. In case of a too big acceleration, the HD heads are parked for a while... The point is if you read a sound from the HD and someone walks with heavy steps close to your laptop, it triggers on the protection and cut the sound... Well, it's easy to disable...
