hi

i just bought usine pro(couldnt resist it anymore)

i have a question about audio files drag n drop

i have created a couple of tracks and have created 8 "lines"in each track,now when i try to drag n drop a audio file to (in this case)line 5 in the last track,it gets opened in the first line??

also if i already have a audio file in line 1 of any track and i want to drag n drop a audio file to say line 2 it replaces the file in line 1

shouldnt it be possible to be able to drag n drop files to evryline in a track?

im a newbie so ther is a BIG chance im missing the obvious here,just thought i woyuld ask

thank you for making this awesome program available,when i get my head around this it will serve me well

strange , can't reproduce this here, ,
when you drag & drop , you must see a white square around the chosen panel, do you see it..?
and when you drag & drop you choose which templates , player, granular..?

yes i see the white square around the panel,i choose wavefile player,but i tried with both the sampler and also the granular,and it behaves the same

i also tried when changing the grid to rack and all,but get the same

thats what ive done,i will try to find some screen capture sofware and post a small video

EDIT:downloading some screencapturing software now

just saw your video when i have a sample on a line,i have no problem when moving it to other lines in a track,or moving it to another track,it seems its only problem when trying to drag n drop other files to another pattern

heres a small video of how it behaves ,i downloadet a trial of camtasia,and it doesent allow cursor in avi files for some reason,so you wont see my cursor,so it can be alittle hard to see whats going on

but hope you can see what i mean

first question : have you try to use the Usine browser to drag your waves..? same problem..?

just tried using the browser to import files and here it works without problems.thanks

i guess its only when you dont use the browser to drag n drop files it wont work:)

yes, didn't notice first you don't use the Usine browser..

no i didnt in the videobut shouldnt it behave the same way even if you didnt use the browser? IMHO that would be a better way and IMHO make more sense

something like full drag n drop support

another thing i noticed is
and it doesent happen all the time with all files

but sometime you when you drag n drop a file into a "cell"you have to minimize it first before it starts playing

its not something that happens alot just sometimes

IMHO it would make more sense if the drag n drop also worked when you didnt use usines browser

yes, i understand , but as I've told you yet ,and waiting for a fix, maybe you can try to use the Usine browser..?

yes i am using the browser now,and all is fine

just thought i would send you the video made with faststone screencapture,because the other video i made it wasent that easy to see what happened
