Hi,
I have just created my first patches with Usine which I want to use for a live performance (I'm a keyboard player).
The patches contain different VSTi's and Effects and I want to use Patch 1 for song nr.1 and so on.
The patches should be loadable by my midi controller. How do I do this the best way?

Hi nofish
And congratulations for your firsts patches.

I'm not sure that this will be the best way and I'm wondering what other Usiners will answer...

Two solutions (among others):
1. have all your patches in the grid and simply use the Conductor to activate or deactivate those you need. You can affect a controller (MidiLearn) to go forward in your Conductor order, another one to go backward.
2. much less simple... Have a special patch, always active, with an Interface Control/LoadPatch Module in it. Connect a list (of the names of your patches) to the "name" pin, affect a controller to it. Connect a button to the "Load" pin, affect a controller. You can even pursue with 2 faders on "line" and "track" to tell in which line and track the patch will be loaded and, of course, affect controllers...

My solution (keyboardist too):
- A patch for my keyboard, controlling 3 splits, transposition, velocity, expression, sustain stuffs, and midi note re-affectation.
- One patch per VSTi, sometimes more than one, with faders to select from which split comes Midi data, vol and pan faders, sometimes some added FX or special controls for the sampler.
- All the patches I need for a song are already loaded and the Conductor (or the Sequencer) does the rest. That means I generally have to load one workspace per piece.

Does it help?
Tell us what you decided and how it worked!

btw, I hope you solved your issue with the BCR. I know that some experts use it too around here... you should have an answer soon.

I have made some good progress and everything is going fine now- well, untill I will run into the next problem, we'll see... :). I have also loaded all patches in the grid and change via conductor. Problem with BCR is not (yet) solved.

Nice forum here!

btw, did you notice that you could smooth the transition of the scenes in the Conductor? I use it for long, spectacular fadings in VSTi layers, it's great.
