I have a Core i7 2600K quad core CPU in my workstation with hyperthreading activated, giving me a total of 8 virtual cores. But I have noticed that when running more than 4 tracks in Usine, it still only distributes the load on the first four cores (I have tried several verisons of Usine, including the current 5.80.013, and they all exhibit the same behaviour). I also made sure that "Nb threads" was set to 8 or more.
So my question is: is Usine not able to utilize more than four cores, or is it because hyperthreading is not supported?
Is hyperthreading supported?

I think it is because using two i7 too I first thought like you but then noticed that the other four "wake up" at some point, although the distribution is not equal at all betwen all the cores. I have been looking into the same parameters than you, I don't know what changed.
The core dispatching is not managed by Usine but Windows itself. So I haven't any explanation.
But don't worry, in a real-time audio application Hyper-Threading will decrease overall performances. So it's more a good news!

Oh, so would it be better to deactivate hyperthreading in the bios? Or would it still give me an advantage when the last four cores are used for other stuff than Usine?
And from another point of view... if the last four cores are simply idle, will the performance of the four cores used by Usine be worse than if hyperthreading was off?
