Hi
Does anyone know audiomulch ?
It seems more basic than usine but it offers some function whitch looks very great like metasurface :

hmmm... looks like quadratic distance module do the same on Usine.

no really sure that is the same than quadratic. Maybe it's possible to do the same in usine but you'll need patching

Hello,
For a first approach of Metasurface with Usine i suggest a quick look here :

This patch from Nay Seven is a start.

here you can control multiple parameters and move them where you want like audio mulch have.
ok, there are no connecting lines, but you can watch sliders directly, I think it is more intuitive, because there in no distance between mouse and actual parameters. You can also CTRL click and move multiple sliders together. I didn't create, but likewise you can for example ALT click to turn off some sliders.

maybe, for non-patchers you can add some out buses or outlets for the faders and then add this patch( better than as workspace) as an add-on..? ,

And if you want more graphics..
Download
note: you can also use
all connections only for the edit layout of the draw modules.
sorry r.error, your patch are inspiring..can't resist .

this looks goooood.
the morphusine patch totally slipped under my radar..may be, we could have some kind of a "patch of the month"- feature on the frontpage with things like "how to set them up", possible applications, etc...just a short feature
thanks a bundle,
io

yes, a focus on a thread on the front page can definitively be a good idea, thanks iococoi !

iococoi, I have add a first try on the left side of the frontpage
I will also add a link on our facebook page

oi nay..
yeah, just noticed that..will there be some sort of a relaunch with Usine 6? Right now the site "feels" a bit cluttered. Another thing, is there an official Usine CI(logo, signet, font, etc)? There isn't really a distinction between Sensomusic and Usine..

Yes, we 'll have a lot of work before the end of this year, this website have to be transfered on a fast system ( joomla or other) and maybe cleaned.
About the name, yes, we more and more talk about
Sensomusic Usine, because Usine is a too much generic name in French ( mean: factory).
You can find some press kit to download

Another solution for drowing the zones :
http://www.sensomusic.com/forums/upload ... 20like.pat
It's a good reflection but in metasurface one zone is a ensemble of parameters (From 1 to 8 for exemple) So if the mouse position morph 8 parameters from the position 1 to the position 2 i think is more intresting.
For exemple if we tweek a little the script of Bsork (The XY Morph) with the in entry the precise positon of each zone (for the moment only Upl, Upr, Down L, Down R) that's maybe marvelous ! If Bsork is not in hollydays ?

1. hmmmm.... that is all 8 parameters are changing every time we move mouse ?
2. And, thanks, your example highlight the problem if we increase zone size. I didn't know abput that before.
the zones are not centered, max point depend on zone position.

and another question.... there are several zones, but is it possible at least two areas we can manipute in multi-touch mode?

Hello r.error,
First, i think that for each zone (Number from 1 to 8 in my exemple) You must be able to order something like 4 to 8 parameters simultaneously. The sonic result of an area is often the combination of several paramettres in action. That why I think the script's doing Bsork, the Morph XY in the add-ons. By modifying it a little bit we could define areas with many parameters, as you want.
Second, the center of the zone is a known problem in Usine. Senso told me about a problem of scale on which it will have a look when he'll have time.
Of course after that, nothing prevents us to mutiply the reference areas to handle them multitouch by ordering two or ten processing chains for example !!!

aha! Now I understand, with morph XY we can control 4 differently defined parameter groups. But with modifying you mean more zones?
Interesting... this method could save lot of resource, I change MorphXY size from 16 to 512 but CPU stays very low. So we can experiment with more polyphony. Just 4 zones is bit too less...

Hello,
Yes, with this script we can control 4 differently defined parameter groups, but the idea is to improve this script for cotrol one to n parameters group (Or Zones). But after that you have the scale of each parameter in zone to solve, but with tha "Auto scale script" maybe is ok.

Hi, multiphone, I can't figure out how we can do that. is there any secret? Because I tried both ways 2 positions to 4 speakers or 2 speakers to 4 positions, but it does not work for me. What i'm doing wrong? Hmmm...

Hello r.error,
I was thinking of doing this with the script Morph XY, but it can do as you do so, simply by multiplying the distance calculation, which multiplies areas
http://www.sensomusic.com/forums/upload ... ak%201.pat
The ideas of the color intensity of zones ins nice.

Sorry . . . Maybe I didn't understand you correctly or wrongly assume that double positions = double areas, is it true? because I imagine 2 areas to 8 speakers for example.
But in your example there is only 1 area to 2 speaker groups, isn't it?

I think we should start from the idea of the script "X / Y Morph" because it allows you to define an initial state with several parameters to reach another state with Sev parameters. For example, we can have a first interesting feature setting : Delay = 34ms, reverb = 3s, reinjection of the delay = 30%, then a second zone with Delay = 20ms, reverb = 0.5 s, 70% reinjection of the delay. In a single movement in a space X / Y is one three parameters do vary from one value to another.
It is more clear that?
