I have had some performance problems with Hollyhock on my setup and found this tweak helped a lot if anyone else using Windows and dealing with drop outs etc. wants to give it a shot. ParkControl https://bitsum.com/about_cpu_core_parking.php

wow, this looks awesome. I can't wait to try it out! getting clicks at 40% of cpu on my wkp, so hoping I can lower latency!!!

How did this work out? It seemed to make only a little difference to my machine...

seemed to improve my 3 year old dell latitude laptop. Got latency down a notch to 128. But it was no help with my (newest model) mac mini, which is still stuck at 256. That's the one I use live, unfortunately. Seems like I'm getting fewer clicks from screen refreshes though.

I'm a little bummed that the old laptop handles HH better than the new desktop. Both running win 8.1.

I use the power management profile from this page.
Works fine on win 7.

That sucks. How come?

Thanks gurulogic, La Tenaille!

I did all the same optimizations afaik.

The laptop is using ASIO4 all, the desktop RME babyface. I'd think the RME would actually be faster....

Thanks Guru,

I am battling CPU questions at the moment, and this is exactly what I am looking for to do some benchmarking.

Much appreciated!

Just gave a newer version of this a spin, and now I'm on Win8.1 it seems to be a little more effective...

Yeah, I ran a benchmark...seemed it helped 2D rendering....but everything else was quite the same in some cases a slight less.
Not really much of a boost...that's too bad. Thanks for sharing though, as I passed on to another for trying on an OC'd newer AMD.
