So after my initial rant about the GUI I have to say it's starting to grow on me! I think it just takes time.
The key thing though was to use the 'floating windows' options (thanks guru logic).
From that point on it visually made much more sense. I would have had this option the other way round.... so the default is 'floating windows', but I suppose people vary. The colour scheme is not Max..all muted colours....but again I'm starting to like it. It's clear!
I got a Leap Motion last week and it only really came to life usefully and musically once I put it with Hollyhock. And that's a key point about Hollyhock and what separates it out...it's musically satisfying.
Also the amazing thing about Hollyhock for me is how immediate it feels. So many times I've launched off with a "have a go" attitude and got a long way before I've had to look at the manual. It just works!
It's a huge environment and I have nothing but respect and awe at the building of it.
Just my thoughts.
Thanks
