Good day,

Around a year ago I got myself a cheep USB DMX interface, the m-led free dmx-512 interface, to test the waters.
Sadly this one is not recognized by usine.

So now I'm wondering,,
The cheapest by usine supported alternative is the ENTTEC Open USB-DMX.

Are the results with this interface good, or are there functional reasons to buy something more expensive..

Following - about to embark on an adventure of light and sound.

Looks like Using supports ART-net too which might eliminate the need for DMX depending upno what you have on the other end.

I'm very grateful for this software though as I just got a ton of feature requests dumped on me.

You can get a cheap version of a DMX adaptor that runs the Open USB-DMX for about $20 online (ebay, I got mine from ledsee.com). I've used it without any issues in Freestyler, but I'm currently on vacation so I can't test it in HH right now. If you can spare the $20 its worth at least trying out.

Jep. I know, I tried 2 different versions of those.
But HH does not recognize those.

I finally settled for DMXis.
I wanted to be sure it worked, so with DMXis I could choose to use it as a vst in all VST hots, and as a DMX interface in HH.
Both ways where successful.
