Hiya Folks,
Been a while but I'm back at making an interactive musical instrument for this year's Burning Man. We are hoping to power this one by three cameras and in an ideal world would use security cameras because they are cheap and you can run the cables a long distance and because it is hard to address three identical USB cameras.
My guess is that we would buy a security system package which usually includes a white box PC with a multi-channel video card in it and move that card to a Windows PC running Hollyhock 2.
Has anyone used this trick before in this or another context? Can Hollyhock 2 address multiple cameras? Any guidelines for me?
It's good to be back.
TIA,
CCQ

Thank you. Feels great to be back. Here's a photo of Usine in action at our shop in Oakland.

The first test was a huge success. We put together a working, camera-driven three voice instrument in Usine in a week and a half that we couldn't do in Processing in six months. Plus, we didn't have any of the OSC configuration information until the test in the photo and it worked on the first try. Easy peasy.
