Hi, I want to compare usine "beat detector + threshold" with electronic drum module. First of all I'm not trying to build piezo based drum kit and play drum sounds(in usine) with drum sticks. It would be something more general, so I can play with my fingers or different objects probably on unspecified surface. All I need is max precise beat + volume(or velocity?). I have tried to improve "beat detector + threshold" patch with volume detection for each beat, but this is something vague and really far from perfect. So I'm thinking if real hardware sound module + piezo could be much better than just piezo through audio input + usine?
Real hardware ar expensive, ugly designed and full of features I really don't need. Any way I will pass the module sounds and trig something in usine throught the MIDI. But if that module could make more precise beat detection + volume/velocity, it would be worth to try. Any advice or experience will be appreciated
