I'm probably being stupid here as I've only just started playing with this again, but I'm having trouble understanding syncing.

i have my list of bars as 7/4. An audio player in a rack playing and looping after 7 beats. i add another drum loop into a grain sampler, but this just plays at its own tempo over the 7 beats. how do i get it to play at the correct tempo and loop after 7 beats. Ive tried different sync settings and nothing seems to work...

set the grain synchro mode to "bar" ?

take a look into simpleslicer, there i am doing sync of granular sampler with main tempo - computing the length of the sequence in sampler by its configuration - soy you have to tell to sequencer how many bars the sample has, and then changing the length of that sequence synced to main tempo and then sync to bar to start it
