Someone's ever tried to build a mixing desk ? I'm planning to create such a workspace for live public-address.

I have toyed with the idea a bit , designing some channel strips and such (somewhat inefficiently at the time in v5) but have never gone all the way with it. I do in a fashion have a mixing desk that I use as my PA controller and that works quite well for me but it lacks the typical functions you would expect in a mixing console, ie: buses, FX sends, EQ's per channel etc (I do use VST Inserts for my EQ needs tho) . I am sure that with a bit of planning and a decent audio interface / mic pre's, that Usine HH could be used quite effectively for this purpose.
In the case of my PA controller, I use a VNC client to interface to the Usine computer remotely but would be really nice to find a better way to interface via tablet etc. without the clunky VNC software link. If I recall correctly the main reason for my needing to use VNC as opposed to HH on another compuer via OSC or "shared workspace" was the inability to remotely view audio meters.. I did not put a lot of thought in a at the time as I was on a deadline to make it work so maybe there is a better way..

My hardware is ok. I've a phone with touchOSC to eq the stage monitors.
I wonder about the controller to mix during the performance. I've berhinger BCF and BCR, but perhaps a touchscreen would be convenient.
And yes I need comp/eq per track, aux for FX and stage monitors, and submix groups.
