TCP/IP Connection with scripting?

Hi,

I'm using the Soundscape Renderer and want to build a remote controll to controll positions of ssr sources
from inside Usine. Therefore you can connect to the SSR via a network interface and send XML-like messages (http://ssr.readthedocs.io/en/latest/network.html)

I've started building a script, the translation from the values (for example from an xy-pad) into the xml-messages works fine.
But now I need to get the connection to the network interface via TCP/IP.
As I'm very new to scripting, I don't know how this is done with fastscript, or if it's even possible. Maybe this has do be done by building an own module?

Does anyone has any experiences with this, or any ideas?
