Hello all, I noticed after buying and installing Hollyhock 3 (Win x64) that it would not connect to the internet, which also prevented me from registering.
I eventually discovered this was due to some entry in my HOSTS file being routed to localhost (127.0.0.1) although I monitored the connections from Usine, I discovered the hosts it was connecting to were not actually directly referenced in my HOSTS file.
Those hosts included:
serveur.ex2-sd7.com
sensomusic.org
ip-api.org
Nevertheless, when I cleared my HOSTS file as a test, Usine connected to the internet, and I was able to register with success.
I eventually discovered the culprit was due to a "doubleclick.net" entry - which I have unblocked for now, and confirmed Usine is connecting.
Whatever http Usine is requesting includes a connection to doubleclick (Google advertising network). This is acceptable and makes sense for a website itself, but it's too bad the application itself is dependent on this.
