Hello,

i would like to take an audio Out from Ableton to put it in a Usine Audio In.
I'm working sound with Ableton and Video with Usine.

I'm using Usine Hollyhock 3.0.159-4

if you're using Windows, then I think only virtual audio cable can help with this. when HH4 comes out, it will be possible to pass audio/midi in and out of Usine through VST Bridge, but it won't work on HH3.

I am using mac,
Actually, my worflow is as follows.

- Audio In 1 (guitar) to X In Oscilo from the O/I (analogic)
- Audio In 2 (voice) to Y In Oscilo from the O/I (analogic)
- Audio In 3 is a kick played with ableton linked from the Audio Out X of the O/I. So Usine see it as an analogic instrument anyways going to the Backgroup Color of the Oscillo.

My wish was to contol the background color of the oscillo in live with the kick played by Ableton. When the kick db is about -inf the color is white, when the kick is about -24db the color change and change to every pulse. No black color. I was very clause to succeed it when i realize i have a latency problem i can't explain and i can't work on it.

Do you have any idea to fight this latency problem ?

I think it's easier to pass midi messages through some virtual midi interface, so it will be velocity of the kick note instead of volume. if you add audio loopbacks, it will increase latency overall.

if your soundcard has loopback it should be possible, or, try jack audio, i think it can handle this

is it even possible to use JACK if it's not supported by either Ableton or Usine?

in windows of course

https://jackaudio.org/faq/jack_on_windows.html
"When the Jack Audio Server is running (i.e. your Jack PortAudio command prompt window reports that Jack is starting and remains open), the JackRouter ASIO interface will be available to all ASIO capable applications."
