TIP: Proper DPI scaling on Windows

Unread post by x.iso » 31 Dec 2019, 00:53

With new HollyHock 4 it's possible to get flawless DPI scaling on Windows if you enable hardware acceleration. Additional step that you must do for this to work, is change Usine.exe properties, go to compatibility tab, there change DPI scaling behavior to be controlled by application. After that if you have system-wide DPI scaling that is different from 100%, you'll get a very crisp UI.

If you do the same thing on HH3 or without hw acceleration, you will simply have Usine scaled at 100%. This is also not bad, since you can then scale Usine itself using global zoom setting, and it'll stay crisp that way too.
