webcam behavior

Hi

i have been trying to trouble shoot my problems with my webcam on my laptop running windows 10. It seems that another app has a driver that fights with the webcam driver for use of the webcam and i constantly have problems. I think it might be possible that Usine is causing the problem but maybe im wrong. I know that Hollyhock has some features that use the webcam. If you know any solutions to this problem i would appreciate it. Im just trying to use the webcam for normal video application like skype but the webcam seems to have drivers that fight for use of it. I dont know the name of the driver that Usine might have installed somewhere and if i can disable it.

thanks

i have never wanted to use usine for any video applications. I have all video features turned off in usine preferences. I notice that when i first open Usine the webcam is turned on and taken over for a moment even though it is turned off in the preferences. So there is some process using access to the webcam.
i still think maybe this process is fighting for control when im using zoom or skype.

hi seamus,
Normally Usine shouldn't hook the webcam if all video settings are off (cameras and video engine)
Try also to remove all video-IN devices in the devices-panel (or clear all devices)
