hi paul :)

basically saxophone player and bass player have their own set of stomp pedal boxes fx and multieffect pedal-boards...
they use obviously other devices as cheap microphones and other sounding "toys"...

i use mostly usine with my own vsts made in synthmaker and synthedit e some made with max/msp..and some freeware and buyware plugins...
..i used some usine filters and the usine sampler too...
..i plan to do some better performing enviroment with all the usine "data" objects etc...

i have an usb keyboard with some pots and a wacom buttable as midi controllers for my setup (when i'll have enough spared mony i'd like to buy the jazzmutant's lemur :) )...
and i use a microphone, some contact microphones, a cheap guitar with a bow and some object to do "prepared guitar" and a korg ms-10...
everything go inside my rme multiface connected to my dothan 2 based laptop and then in usine :)...

the drummer plays..drums and everything he find around :)

at the moment there's no interaction between my laptop artillery and sax/bass/drums..in this 4tet
but ..i did in past years some duo work with live processing of different players (guitar, sax, drums and bass)..
..i did some processing of my own piano or rhodes playing too in some solo performance....
..i have a group where i play melodica throu my laptop...

the music of the 4tet is...plain free improvisation :)
..we try sometimes to construct improvised "quasi-songs"...tryin to manage the improvisational structure throu musical cues or gestures...

i'm now thinkin' about a report of my yesterday experience...
1. bug reporting
2. improvements
3. features request :)

bye
