Hi guys,

i didn't not well understand the aux tracks...
how to create explicitly one?

at present i select the "aux" input for a track that i want to work as an aux...is it the way it is supposed to work?

Aux are very similar to aux busses in real mixing table.

You send audio from any track to the aux1 (or 2) and then create a new track with aux1 (or 2) as input.

Typically:
you put a reverb effect on a track with the aux1-2 as input.
You send the sound from other tracks to the reverb by adjustement of the aux1-2 fader of each track.

Is it possible to set the input and output hardware channels to route an Aux in/out ?

Same question as Lalo. I do the same way. Is this the way it is supposed to be done ?

If you select the aux(i) as input it means that the track receive the sound from the aux bus (i)

There are only 2 aux busses.
I know, it's a limitation but, we have to take care about the CPU load. (Everything as a cost...)

For more funky routing you can use: the global constant module.

Sorry to use this post but my question is all about Aux.

I understand what is said above and I want to use the same example with the reverb :
- I use a sampler patch on my 2 first tracks
- I want to add a general reverb to them thru Aux buses so I use the aux 1 fader to adjust the level of sound for track 1 and 2
Question is...where do I add my reverb patch ? How do I "edit" Aux 1 ?

I just d'like to know where to find them...but maybe it comes from the free version I use.

Hi Usiners!

Just some thoughts about AUX buses.
I think two AUX (like it is now) are a good number (in a matter of CPU and screen real estate saving).

Personnally I use a lot the "send to audio or midi bus - get from audio or midi bus" modules to add Aux buses when more than two needed, these modules allow really crazy routing.

Also I use the "additional audio in - (out)" modules to do some "hardware aux busses": for example
Track 1: input set to AUX1 - output set to OUT1 (my master out),
then on this track a patch with:
"audio in" -> "additional audio out" (set to an output of my sound card linked for instance to a hardware FX)
then "additional audio in" (set to an input of the soundcard receiving the hardware FX) -> "audio out"
Then any other track can easily send to track 1 via the AUX1 Fader.

Just to aswer Gybe: to set up your reverb in the AUX1 bus, simply create a patch "audio in -> reverb -> audio out" on a track then set the input of this track to AUX1 (and of course the output of the track to your main out).

Ok, so that's how it works ! ... I get it now. I had just found how to use the "send to audio/data" stuff that works fine too
