Hi all,
I am very new to USINE, but I love it. Actually I love the way it seems, since I cannot play anything with it.

This is what does not work:
I put a simple VSTi in a patch and let USINE do the default behavior (add Audio Outs, button, switch, MIDI in), then I removed the MIDI in and put in its place a MIDI randomizer.
I start the engine and I can hear only an increasing noise.

I tried to use some examples, that seem to work, but actually it's not clear for me if they use any VSTi.

The driver ASIO and VSTs works in another host (VSTHost), so I think it's not a problem of ASIO driver or VSTs.

I use a Dell Laptop, 64bit, dual core, ASIO4ALL, 4front Piano Module and Helios II as VSTi.
In my PC I installed also MIDI Yoke.

I found the problem myself. MIDI random seems to send only MIDI ON messages, so they eventually saturate the VST instrument.

So now a question: is it possible to make it send MIDI ON and MIDI OFF messages?

Hey simply add a "midi transform" module between the "midi random" and the VSTi, and then set the lenght as you like.
Or you can also simply set you vsti to "monophonic" or use a sound with short decay.
Regards,

B.
