Here is my idea.

A rec button like the Rec on the dashboard. But the recording process should only concern mouse click / touch mouvements on control interface (only visible button, knobs, swicthes, list box, the process could also lock patches to avoid confusion). A sort of "automation record" with overdub. Then, a Play button to listen the result. If not satisfied, overdub the recording.
It could be a "on the fly" kind of recording, with no file to save to make it easy to implement.

Guess If i'm clear, I'm tired... :)

Sounds fun, "macro" style recording. I support this suggestion.
On a similar note I've been playing around with using sequenced preset managers to take snapshots of interface items values per step and playing back the preset managers sequence style. Something like this but with interpolation between steps would also be cool.

it's a good suggestion, probably implemented in future but you'll have to be patient.

by waiting, im working on an add-on that can rec any usine item datas, of any range, located anywhere in wkp.
should be avaible soon, maybe this we ;)

actually can rec up to 16 datas simultaneously and replay/overdub in circular recording way, all synced.
work like charm but i finish to add few features like AoN random of thomas wich instant generates cool automations...
