Currently the volume module has 4 smooth speeds :
fast
medium
slow
very slow
it would be very interesting to have more variants, especially a mode with fast mute and slow unmute at the same time.
Currently i am using a mute after every VST effect to avoid the clicking sound they do when bypassed and unbypassed.
i have a small patch programmed to do this :
FX on : the vst turns on, then after a small delay the volume is un-muted
FX of : the sound is muted first, then the vst turns of
No clicks this way... but each sub patch takes space and cpu !
The Fast Mute / Slow Unmute mode on the volume module would allow me to delete 30 sub patches in my workspace !
By the way, i'm really enjoying hollyhock ! Thanks to the team for this incredible software.

Yes thany you for your idea with the smooth module. Like i explained in my post, i already made several subpatches to do this, one delays the mute, another one is a ramp down to turn the effect of progressively etc...
But 30 VST's = 30 subpatches = lots of space and cpu devoted to this simple task.
You can see the cpu meter on your picture is 0.35 percent. Multiply this by 30.
i'm just saying this is a small thing that becomes very useful in a big patch with many vst's.

And you need your 30 vst in the same time ?
If not you can use the patch on module to desactivate there you don't use.

The difficulty with Usine is to fix the limit between built-in functions and patch possibilities.
It's a big dilemma.
Your suggestion is limitless...
Maybe the "Patch ON/OFF" module can help in your case to deactivate unnecessary patches.
