preset names output on VSTs?

I know I can use IML to get the list of presets from the VST, but it's very clumsy--if a VST bank takes a while to load, I have to guess how long to wait before querying the VST for its presets. And so far the 'loading' output on the PM is not reliable for banks that take a while to load (like reaktor instruments with lots of sample data.)

Maybe there is a technical reason this is difficult to do, but it would sure be great to just have my list always correctly display the current preset names.

I like this idea, too!

I may not need to display the vst at all with this feature.
