color selector, is there a way to display the old larger one?
Hi 23fx23,
I don't know if you were a Mac or Windows user, but I bet there is a utility if you are on Mac.
I found
Color Pic
I am starting to collect useful utilities in the Wiki, if you are a Mac user and find one add it or send me the link.
This lets you grab any hex value from anything and store it and then you can just put it in.
It helps me get comparative colors exact without all the slider and tweaking.
It's like having an advanced color palette.

hey sephult!
Thanx for the sugg, i just tried and it's a very nice one i didn't know, very handy for lots of sutff for me even out of usine. thanks
!
im on pc. yeah i will definitely use it, especially in script and sdk if the hex value match usine color system that rocks and will remove the use of several computations!
(some apps ave the RGB bytes arranged differently)
I still find strange the big color picker tweaker was removed, it's not usual in usine to relly on external softs^^, i thought i was because it was on the way for something new/different maybe
cause having to deal with hex value is less intutive than HSL i find kind of strange.. not drastic to'
but by waiting this will do the job perfectly for me thanks again!

Glad to hear 23fx23,
I thought the same, it took me awhile to get used to...however I always found the HSL very hard to get things right the way I wanted them to be.
I have been trying to work on some Synth-GUI specifics where I wanted to match colors of the original. I found ColorPic to be exact.
Just google, snapshot and place hex-values.
Regarding Usine, the hex values are correct, however you need to place FF in front of the value when putting into Usine. Would be cool if Usine just filled in the blanks if not there...might be a suggestion to put in for.
Yeah, I cannot remember who or which one of us use Mac/PC sometimes (would be cool to add under Forum name..hint hint..lol).
Regardless, check out some of the other utilities...and if you find any others add them to the wiki.

oh yess nice ide for the useful utilities, hadn't check previously, nice job.
i might have a good challenger i will add:
http://www.resplendence.com/latencymon
it runs severals tests during a time period and repords all process/drivers ect PDC latency, was very helpfull for me to track wich driver could make asio crakles if short buffers (often network related) to optimize ratio latency/safety by disabling them before performance.
regarding OT
that"s true the hsl could be tricky to recall specific value, but imo it only could need relatively simple tweaks to be perfect. just have to know where we are/were on re opening.
ie the col/rows are numbered, and the HSL faders increment by steps, relating the whole color matrix size.
ie lets say a matrix displays a 25x25 color picker. the HSL faders would have a step of 0.1 and goe from 0 to 1. at 0 you got the 25 lower lum, at 1 the last 25 higher lums 225-255.
personnally i would make a square with Horizontal = Hue, vertical = Lum, and an extra fader outside the matrix define Sat. justt a sugg the handy way i imagine it.
that way man can easy 'scrub' hue and lum, pick a color, then adjust Sat, & values would be easy to customize and/or recall. i ll try to make a matrix outputing Hex to test/provide exemple of that system.

Wow, thanks for these informations.
