Hello, Sensomusic team!
The feature of auto-reversing (see picture) doesnt work for both normal and grain samplers, but it works at "grain sampler old" module.
Maybe it's possible to add mode for the sampler "forward-rewind", in which playback reverses at the end of the sample?

Best,

We have still few details like that to solve.
It's not so easy but I'll take a look.

Hello, the new sampler seems quite different from the old one.

With the old one in loop mode, when you stop the recording the playing starts automatically and the sample plays over and over again.

With the new sampler in free loop mode, when you stop the recording : nothing happens. Then when you press play, the loop plays only once...
Is that normal behaviour with the new sampler ?

Thanks.

depends of the sampler you use, but for example, in the library/sampling there's a patch named record audio
if you switch to loop mode, works as you say ?

Hello
Yes it works thank you !
I had not seen the "play loop" button in addition to the play button.

In overdub mode, there is still the "clicking" sound problem at the end/start of the loop.
When you do several overdubs it ends up sounding like vinyl.
I have found a way to add a fade on the output to suppress the click, but i believe it would be better if the problem was solved right in the sampler. :)

Here the loop icon:

About the clicks you mention, remember that general settings like a small block size have also a role to play ?

Hello,

I tried different block sizes up to 256 and different graphic refresh rates.
The sampler records a click/glitch in the audio at the start/end of the loop.

To fix the problem, it is possible to do a fade in on record start and a fade out before the record ends on the input of the sampler.
But the solution is not perfect.

I will also have to to a delayed "Clear" after muting the output of the sampler to avoid a glitch in the audio when clearing the loop while it is playing.

Am i the only one experiencing this ?
Imo, it would be better if the clicking problem was solved inside the sampler module without all this "fiddling-around-to-hack-a-solution".

Thanks !

Sorry to revive an old topic,

But I'm experiencing clicking noises whenever I dynamically try to use the reverse button on the Sampler node.

I have a random probability switch that can on trigger either play the sample forward or reversed, but if I leave it so that it jumps between them I get this annoying clicking sound and it doesnt play the sample all the times.

Anyone else?

Try to use the audio ADSR module

All the best

Hi. Not sure if it answer to the question but to make an "auto reverse" mode you should try this : Image

Hi spend some time on this matter : for a precise "forward-rewind" mode.
but with no convincing results as it is impossible to detect the end position before the sampler jumps to the start pos.
the only workaround I found is to detect just before the endpos and just after the startpos when reversing.
But with that done we loose a few samples at the begining and at the end.

truly this "forward-rewind" mode should be made available as an option in the sampler module itself as the algorythm could work at sample level ans not at block level as it is with data lines.

Also could be fun to have the option for the "endpos" and startpos" to NOT trigger the looping mecanism inside the module

cheers

edit : just add the forward-rewind mode to the "Elite Looper" user module. windows only until later.

Thanks for looking into this guys, I can to the same conclusion that I need to sacrifice a few samples to reset the pos for the rewind to work.
