Hello...
I have a few questions/suggestions regarding the midi outs (and ins) of a track.
I find myself running out of tracks because there can only be one virtual midi out per track. I'm using up a whole track just to route some midi outs. Could it be possible to have a selector on the midi out module defining to which virtual midi port the midi data is sent to - or to send it to all?
This way I could have many midi out modules routing midi signal to many different midi out ports... all from one track / patch.
This problem doesn't exist with midi ins. I like the fact how I can utilize any of the virtual midi ins in one patch. All I'm lacking is an option in the midi filter module to filter out all but one virtual midi in. I'm not sure this is a real problem as now I'm using some math and pass event flow -modules to do the same (if num virtual = x then pass) but could maybe be handy also in the midi filter module?
I will take this opportunity also to say how much I continue to enjoy Usine: I find it incredible how - it seems - nothing is impossible with this software. It's just amazing.
best regards,
antwan
multiple midi outs per track?
thanks for your (good) suggestions.
I'll try to think about it as soon as possible. Currently I'm very busy with the VST so I'll do that after.
The main problem is to make patches independent of the Midi hardware setup, which is the global philosophy of Usine. I'll probably create a 'Additional Midi out' in the same spirit than the 'additionnal audio out'.
