Hi Usiners,
Just a small suggestion about the browser.
I think it would be cool to have more tabs than the actual tabs (Modules, VST, Live Kit, Library, Sound).
Maybe simply two more tabs "Custom 1" and "Custom 2", that we could assign to any folder or disk in the setup panel.
This would allow to easily browse the whole Hard Drive from within Usine, for instance, or to keep at hand some frequently used patches or sounds.
What do you think?
Regards,
B.

I'm not sure it's finally the best solution
I think that, more generally, we need a powerful key-word search engine in the browser:
search by
- patch/wkp name
- patch/wkp info key-word
etc.
Also, add the possibility to put a 'tag' on each element of the browser, like 'put it in the best of' and have a 'best of' panel.

Agreed with Senso for the search function.
I've already had a hard time finding some modules while following other users suggestions.

I agree. And having some lite version of Live and FL I can state without hesitation that i hate their browsers and only use them when I need to find something that other functionality hasn't been implemented that's better.Kaspar wrote:Agreed with Senso for the search function.

It seems to me that these are two different problems:
a. having one or two customisable tabs to be able to browse directly in any preassign folder;
b. a 'tag' or 'favorite' tab with let's say the top-twenty modules.
And if I had to choose between a and b, I would personally prefer a, ie. benjamin's suggestion, since the application, the VSTs, the audio material, the midi stuff and the workspaces themselves are much better on different HD.
