I have a feature request, that would be very useful for all of us that don't have a motorized surface control; I found that on the Reaper forum, but I'd like to have something similar on Usine, because I think it would be very useful for live use...ok, this is straight from the Reaper forum:

"""When I used to use Ableton Live, they had an option to configure how a midi controller would go from one task to the next...
Say you have one fader controlling channel 1, then you press a button to make the same fader control channel 4... Presuming these aren't motorized faders, you'd end up having the fader in the wrong place to configure channel 4's volume... However, they had a couple of options to help solve this...
In "pick up" mode, no MIDI values would change until the fader was in the correct position for the new channel...""

I like this idea too:

""An External Control Match Mode:
In this mode, the faders are frozen and new transparent faders appear. When now the faders on the external device are moved, then only the new transparent faders move. When there is a match between the frozen real faders and the new transparent ones, there will be a visual feedback (like the fader getting green or something). When all faders are matched and one leaves the External Control Match Mode, then the real faders in Reaper are unfrozen again since they are now in correspondence with the external ones.""

I think it would be very nice to have something similar on Usine ;-)

I think it can be simulated with the tab technik and a bit of patching, im actually working on a similar feature.

I know what you mean!
I call it 'soft take over', like in reaktor.
It somewhere in my (huge) TODO list..

A patch is a good idea and can do a good job but is tricky to implement in all the faders of a your patches...

Yeah, I built a patch (and later will try the one on the addons), but I think it would be better to have this feature as "native" in Usine

While we're on the topic of midi control and native, native feedback from vst's used in Usine without having to built a feedback thingy for each assigned control of a vst parameter would be nice .
