auto locate vst parameters?
an idea that just came to my mind.
touch a module or a vst GUI element and usine somehow locates the corresponding in- and outlet pin on the module view.
this could be handy for a vst plugin like drumatic which has hundreds of unnamed parameters and u want to add some modulation to a specific parameter.
no idea how this could be implemented practically thu..

Unfortunately it look very hard (let's say impossible) in the general case.

never even dreamed olivier would say the word 'impossible'!
so lets forget about it
for cases like drumatic where I really need this, I can embed drumatic in sonicbytes phrazor vst (sadly abandoned), or just find the correct parameter name with phrazor standalone. above all its really not a big deal, sorry.

what about making a patch with it inside...?
so this way you have to do the job only once...

good suggestion.
its just the case I want to use any of the myriads of params. its not always the same, hidden 'cutoff' param for example.
a lot of drumatics params come from the graphical envelopes (every point can be automated).
however, for plugins or modules without tons of params u can look at the module in/out detail view and check which param shows a movement of course.

in that case - when there is a lot of hard to recognize parameters - I'm just moving the knob in VST ang chcecking which fader is changeing in the parameter list of module in usine. its enough for me.

This makes sense to me (I'm still not really used to how Usine handles presets and banks cuz I've been spoiled using FL to created presets for VSTs for so long) but I'm going to look into the possibility of making something in Synth Edit that'll make this easier.amiga909 wrote:good suggestion.
