Hi Usiners

After 3 hard programming weeks on the USINE sequencer I have improvements to suggest for the best next release !

1/ Having the possibility to fill the position patch (begin/end) by the keyboard and note only with the mouse (more precise and direct position entry when the window zoom is on minimum).
This feature could be even use to inform the user on the position of the patch instead to be not obliged to zoom in some case.

2/ Having the possibility to not follow the cursor when playing the sequence. (Some time really…grrrr with an high sequence zoom)

5/ Having a global tracks view without the zoom track selected and the other tracks in reduce version. To see the whole user curve.

4/ Choosing the quantization of the snapping.

6/ Seeing the grid behind the patch.

7/ Some bug between the ruler time line and patch position according to the zoom degree of the sequence window.

I'll try to implement your suggestions as soon as possible

also, I'd like an option to hide the "curves menu" on the right, because sometimes I can't see the clip content

Yes, that would be so fine. Important point.
Some right click command that shows a "coodinates" box with start and end positions according to the ruler's unity (time/bar/smpte), avaiable for patches and for markers (...and for x/y coordinates of curve points?).

Sometimes really…grrrr, I agrrrrree.
But that means that we also need some kind of modifiable "transport window" to be able to get/set the out-of-screen cursor position. Why not in the global view you suggest in point 5?

A Reaper feature that imply the ability to scroll anywhere when audio engine is on (see point 2)..
About user curves, I would add this (old already-done) request: No last red default point, meaning that the curve always remains flat after the last point we inserted. That really would increase efficiency of the work flow when patching.

It's already like that, but the grid is not much contrasted... And as soon you put a second patch over a first one, it's dead!
Maybe Olivier could you just tell us what parameter to change in the Usine's color file?
Is it possible to change the patch transparency somewhere?

Up.
To me, it's the main point to work on: precision of the ruler, precision of the grid, precision of the curves and precision of the mouse operations on the curves.
Precision.

Let me add a last one suggestion (for this post):
two kind of points, a) the normal ones, and b) the Beziers ones. Hmmm, sooo goood that would be!

But sequencer has really been greatly improved and we begin to have fun with it.

Sequencer combined to Conductor is an incredible feature for patches.
And for interactive installations, it's just killing ! Instalation is another aspect of live purposes, right?
I hope you're aware that the sequencer is not only a home-studio-toy but really a great live "Quad Damage"!
