hi

in PD or MAX there is one usefull idea: you can just click and make new "empty" module and type name instead of browsing in huge library. Browser in usine is good when you are now in usine but when you patching a lot its not so fast as this method from PD or max.

maybe its possible to implement such a method of creating new modules? please....

I liked this about plogue bidule very much: the module/vst explorer has a search text input on top. the browser automatically locates the pug too.

usine's wire-in-empty-space -> context-menu is very useful too

for me, a search function would be vital for vst's: u can have the best folder structure but if u have more than ~200 vst's browsing becomes tedious.

it's a good suggestion.
I'll see how I can implement it.

Also the search function in the browser is still somewhere in my huge todo list...

Lol - 3 years ago when I had to re-install Windows I created a folder structure for my VSTs solely with Usine in mind.

I have over 2000 VSTs. 99% of which are freeware.

Having the folders named according to effect type or instrument type helps but not enough. I really wish there were some way to "tag" the data. I've been involved in 3 attempts to corral the chaos of all the VSTs out there into some sensible way of archiving and seraching through them. All of which have failed. I simply don't have the skill set to deal with it.
