Hello,
I'd LOVE a transparency feature for text background ?!
Of course, we can use the same color used in the visual element placed under the text but ... it would be VERy more efficient with a transparency feature (I mean, a no color choice)

We have discussed about this subject many times.
Actually, after many test this option is too expensive in CPU and is not implemented.
We will see in future version.

Sorry about this subject if it has been debated already a lot...

Well, just to add: My two cents in the last debate was 'not if it takes more cpu'!!
Well, my wkp with my i7 quad-core takes 1-2% of cpu compared to 40-60% with my old computer.
So I would have a different opinion now

i would say it could atleast be made as a option??
as computer power getting faster and faster, some of the things that would have taken ALOT of cpu power 1-2 years ago maybe would make good sense on upgrading, also to help keep the program up to date
but im not a programmer hehe

I'm quite sure it would be hard even to provide it as an option, considering the post by Olivier.
Personnally, I can really wait for next version.
It is just a bit annoying right now, especially because the "same color as the background" cannot work if background isn't solid colored.
