Hi Olivier
I need to choose a specific destination folder of recording file by sampler. In a futur version of usine, you think it is possible ?
thank's for your work !

hello,
you can change the default save path in the setup but you can't specify a particular one in the sampler module.
I'll see what I can do for the future versions.

Yes, ok I know for the "default path", but if you can create this in the futur version will be super !
thank for your fastly responce !
Apart of the music, I use usine for the sound of Installation.
I let turn Usine ten days! I hope that it will not have a crash , but I am sure it will be ok !
Ps : A little bit of publicity !
The adresse of the programmation, where there is my installation :

Normally Usine is very stable.
Most of crashes come from the audio driver or appear during the patching process.

Last day tomorrow... Shall we have news about this Usine's Marathon?

hello,
Usine worked well !
But every two days, I started again it. because sometimes it was cut and close, alone, suddenly and sometimes one of the patch lost its connections and did not work any more.
But it's perhaps I used for this "marathon", puredata for the video and Eyecon for the video tracking, and much memory was used !...
And it's not really the original use of usine !...
Conclusion for me with the version 4.6, "non-stop 2 days" there is no problem, beyond it's just necessary to start again!

Hi!
Nice to have news! Thanks!
Well, restart Usine every two days, not really catastrophic, but...
I used to have the problems you mentioned with another computer. Application shut-downs when nothing happens and some unwired patches... Aargh!
We did not manage to see the reason. Anyway, I had to change my computer for compatibility reasons with GigaStudio...
And then, no more problems. Absolutely nothing. Never crash, just never.
First one was not so good:
Asus motherboard
Pentium 4, 3GHz
1 Go RAM
second one is my very old one, crappy and asthmatic:
MSI motherboard
AMD Sempron 3200+ 1.21GHz
256 Mo RAM
As you can see, that means it's not necessarily a question of memory... not even a question of CPU speed!
The choice of the good and convenient CPU is essential. And since I'm soon gonna buy a new computer, I have to be cautious!
I think that for computer music, you have to dedicate a machine and do nothing else than music with it. Do your video tasks on another one and use OSC. Be rich anyway!!
