I think the Usine demo should be less crippled to enable proper evaluation. The way the demo is limited, like no patch editing, no sequencer etc. is just too much to enable one to fully test what Usine can do and if it does what one needs it to do. I believe the lack of being able to fully demo the software turns away many potential customers, because they have to either buy the full version or pirate it to actually test it.
I suggest a philosophy of offering a full-featured demo with a time limit after which the software will stop working. Many software developers have this and it's advantageous for the users and potential buyers.
A better demo of Usine
we know it's not easy to find the right balance , but with the free version where you can explore Usine, use the addons and the new low price Stage version, we think we also offer a good alternative to classic Demo versions...?
Sure, but the free version misses the features that one might want to test and the Stage version requires one to buy something. I think it's wrong to have to pay for evaluation. Although it's good that there is an upgrade path from Stage so you won't have to pay double.
