I think it would enhance the workflow if when a modules settings panel were pinned, double clicking a different module would switch the pinned panel to display the settings for the selected module, but still pinned. Also if opening the settings panel for a new module after closing it while pinned, the panel would open for the chosen panel and still pinned.
In my case, especially considering my small display, I find it confusing to have a varying sized settings panel open for each module I click so I would prefer to work with the panel always pinned but with the capability to quickly switch between settings views for different modules.
Hope this makes sense..

Also finding it a bit of an inconvenience having the settings panel pop up every time I open a sub patch.

Another time saver would be a shortcut to navigate back and forth between previously opened patch windows, similar to how it is done in an internet browser. Perhaps something like Shift + Arrow keys? (or even clickable <> at the top of the patch window?)

good suggestion.
- pined modules: normally it should be
- history: possible but how to find the right ergonomics for that? that's the question. the menu bar starts to be very populated...

Maybe some left/right buttons next to the patch name at the top of the patch window would work? History would be very cool indeed.

well #2 could be a command available only with a key-stroke if there's really no place to put it.
#1: I really dislike the settings panel changing size. If it goes to 3 columns I basically can't do anything. And many times when I double-click on an object, the first click changes the number of columns, and obscures the object so the second click doesn't work.
I will ask again for the option to have a scrollbar on the settings window instead. I don't see why it needs to behave differently than the browser window. Actually, it would be a MORE welcome feature on the browser window than the settings window. In the browser window, I could easily close a branch of the tree to get it back to one column!
So maybe another solution would be putting module settings into a tree-table format. Big change, tho, I guess
cheers!

Great news! Thanks! And no setting panel popping up every time I click on a patch or sub patch? (floating windows mode). This has been driving me crazy!
