Caption and String Value Alignments

It seems that sometimes the Caption and String Value Alignments (Left,Center,Right), as well as the Vertical Alignments (Top,Center,Bottom) just don't want to line up depending on your object design.

An example is the switch where if you add the LED and put a caption.... the Left Align puts it almost on top of the LED.
Setting the caption to the right side, puts the caption outside the scope of the switch and cuts off the caption no matter what size you make the switch.

Would it be possible to have continuous values to alter the horizontal and vertical placements?
Maybe keep the normal preset alignments and just have the ability to override fine adjustments with a fader?

1) about switch issue : it's more a bug than a suggestion, corrected in the 3.0.145
2) about continuous values: hard to implement. I keep the idea.
