I think that one it a bit overdue. Since there is no default master rack to where all other racks are routed by default, we have to either route every rack (and every time new rack is made) to one that we manually consider 'master' rack, or modify Stereo Out device patch to insert any global effects or mastering.

Both are problematic: one is tedious (and also dragging rack to other rack's input is quite challenging if it's too far away and you have to scroll at the same time) and the other is ignored in recording and also the patch persists above all workspaces (which is both bad and can be useful).
Master track would solve both problems with snapshots, so we could recall different mastering/fx setups from rack itself, and all new racks would be routed through this master rack.

you can create a rack with all your sends, inputs/outputs and save it to "Usine Hollyhock Win64 3.0.139ResourcesTemplatesRacks". Then, your new rack will overwrite the default one.

So I'm using workspace template which is same as usual empty workspace, except with Limiter and Spectrum patches on first rack, named Master. Then new racks also use edited template, so they output to 'master rack' instead of Stereo Out. All would be fine with that kind of approach, but it breaks the normal usage of Solo buttons, since I have to use solo on master track as well as anything else. Thus suggestion still relevant.

One good suggestion is to have a solo safe option on rack, then your master rack you create don't need to be in solo to listen the rack you put in solo.

Having a master rack natively in Hollyhock is not convenient at all since Hollyhock is not just a stereo DAW. The master rack is not relevant in so many situtations...

Perhaps that would work as well. But I think there's no problem if it's just an option (to have master rack) and also you can have master rack output to multiple channels, so it's a matter of configuring master rack default settings.
