Current Piano roll module is very basic, especially when it comes to editor window. So much stuff missing that it's quite a hassle to use after any other modern DAW. I know that Usine's priority is it's unique features, but piano roll is a place, where many people lay out their melodies and rhythms, so it should be more efficient and comfortable to use. Personally I tend to use midi generators and sequencers, but sometimes I need to create a specific melody and midi clip and unfortunately built-in editor is a pain to use, it's as basic as it can possibly be.

If anyone agrees, please list specific features you need to add. I'd say everything Ableton Live 9 had should be there (except converting audio to midi).

kinda agree it could have some workflow improvments.. personally think my first priority would be a better navigation system.

_: on main window of notes a "slice centered zoom" ie when using mouse wheel, the zoom would be centered to where mouse cursor actually is, (current is always from start)
_on the left notes bar, a same slice zoom, & if clicking on a note, then moving mouse delta X would zoom in/out
_ inverse on the time selector range, if clicking then moving mouse delta Y would zoom in/out, centered on mouse position

then ability to make retangular selector for selecting several notes, shift them left/right/up/down via keybaord keys

I agree, the piano roll have to be improved.
I'll try to implement it in next major release.

Good to hear!
One feature I'd like to have in Piano roll is new mode (beside rewrite and overdub) to overwrite new notes removing any overlapping old notes in current timeline, also a button to erase any notes that overlap with current timeline. That way you could set it on the loop, do a take, then if you want to change anything, you could erase mistakes with a button (which could be mapped) and hit different chords or notes in certain parts of the loop. With this, you wouldn't even need to open piano roll as often and also it would be a powerful tool for live performance, to fill the midi loops live and reshape them as you go by playing on top, without colliding with notes of initial loop (which happens in overdub mode).
