Hi. This is mosc from electro-music.com. I learned about Usine and gave it a try. I'm very impressed. I want to express my appreciation for making such an excellent program available for free.

Anyway - there's always and anyway - I was wondering about the mono delay module. The docs say the minimum delay time is 0,1 ms. I would like to develop a patch for an ambiophonic encoder but the algorithm needs shorter delays. For this I would like to select 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, or 100 microseconds.

Is there some way to get shorter delays with the current version of Usine or would this require development.

Thanks in advance.
Howard

I imagine it wouldn't be terribly difficult to change an existing module to reflect those delay times.

And I hope you do. That sounds like something I'd use. I love my ambisonic VSTs.

the actual delay module has a minimum of 0.05 ms which represent around 2 samples at 44100Hz (50 microsec).
I'll modify the delay module to have a 1 sample minimum at any sample rate.

Hi, Olivier. Thanks very much. I think that would help in the development of a lot of DSP patches.

Once again, my compliments on such fine work. I'm impressed with the openness and quality of your software.

yes I know that I have to improve DSP modules.
I'm currently very absorbed by the VST version of Usine.
But soon I hope.
