Hi there, i'm not too sure if this has been suggested before, and i hope it doesn;t go against the main purpose of usine, but i would really, really like a few more quantise options if at all possible. At the moment, there is no option between 'cycle' and 'bar', and an option for maybe '2 bars', '3 bars' etc would be great, especially as I would like to use 16 bar loops in the sampler modules. At the moment, if I want to use a 16 bar loop for say, a whole verse, i have to split it up into 4 bars, drop them into the sample list, and chose play mode 'next'. This is fine for drum loops (its actually great for drumloops becasue i can set play mode to random if i want), but for lead and bass parts, the 4 bar long file that gets triggered when changing a conductor snapshot may be the 2nd or third one into the verse. I don't know if this is something i'm doing wrong (it probably is).
It would be nice to set a cycle length of say, 16 bars, and then have switching options and sampler sync modes as bar increments so that loops of different lengths can be used and they will all stay in sync. at the moment if i have the sync modes on a sampler module set to 'loop' then the timing can sometimes drift out, again, normally when choosing a new conductor snapshot.
Also, it would be handy for switch quantising as at the moment you're constrained to either one cycle or one bar. this is fine for cycles that are quite short, but if you want long cycle lengths you either have to activate a switch within a bar, or wait until the end of a cycle.
However, as i've only been using usine (every day!!!) for the last three motnhs i may be missing something that i'm doing wrong.
Thanks very much!!
Kevin
