Hello.
I’m trying to make a workspace suited to my live set, like everybody here i guess.
I need two loopers, recorded on the fly, and some midi patterns played by vst instruments, all of this synchronized by the first looper…(the duration of this loop determines the master tempo, the cycle start…) so I can play many basslines at the same time with an hardware monophonic synth, with vst beats, changing tempo at any moment, according to the duration of the first sample loop.
This is quite simple, but I can’t figure out the management of time in Usine (I use Usine for two years now, played with it at some shows but…)
In my workspace, the mastersynchro is controlled by the duration of samples, as I said, recorded on the fly.
Then, I use localsynchro to time control midi patterns of the vst instruments, according the mastersynchro, but, with the possibity to play pianorolls twice slower for example.
When i set the master at 125bpm and a local synchro a 125bmp too (master tempo linked to local tempo, synchronized by a restart), after 10 cycles, the loops are offset, every times.
I think that I miss something in the understanding of how to deal with time in usine.
I have a little show on next Thursday, and for now, this is panic.
Is there anybody who could help?
Thanks.
Eric.
Synchronization issue
How are set your piano roll sync parameters?
Loop, cycles? No problems here with a simple patch

thank you for answering Seb.
I tryied several configurations, synchro param on cycle as well.
Usine reacts as if master plays at 125.00 bpm and local at 125.01 bpm , it as nothing to do with some kind of latency, because the gap of the offset is constantly growing.
i will post a printscreen this evening (i'm at work) or better, a example patch , it will be more eloquent.
Thank you.
