I am trying to record an array as a sample to play back in the sampler module. is this possible?

yes, it's possible,
one solution is to exctract a sub-array of bloc size, at each bloc it exctract the next sub array ect..
i would use bsork's bloc counter script:
http://www.sensomusic.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=1802
so if your bloc size is ie 32, you multiply the script output bloc nb by 32 to get the "start pos" of the "exctract sub array" module, wich has a 32 size, if then you put a audio output out of that array it will play the "sample" array each time you'll reset the script.
and then can be resampled in a sampler.but actually with a 512arry max lengh that represent a very short amount of playback time, around 11ms) V5 will extend that a lot, worth waiting.

btwn maybe there is a trick to find a way to directly write to disk an array as a wav file but im not aware of..
