I'm not too sure I can help with this one but one part of the problem I see is that as far as I can tell a button cannot be held down to continuously send one value and then released to send another. It just very quickly sends a value of 1 when pressed. You would normally need a switch for this but for your situation you would want a momentary switch...hmm... Anyone?

Is this something like what you're after? Have the second create midi set to "NOTE OFF" and it'll trigger a note on on mouse down, and note off on mouse up. The button module outputs a rapid 0-1-0 pules when you press it, whereas this setup holds the pulse at 1 as long as you press on the image panel. The "0-1" and "1-0" modules are in the events control module menu and just detect rising and falling edges of pulses basically - perfect for this :)

No worries guys - anytime :) Check out the mouse x and mouse y values as well, as you could link these to (for example) velocity of the note you create, or pretty much anything else you can imagine. With the new matrix pack in v5 you can have a grid of these buttons like a monome, mpc or maschine if you wanted to, very very cool!!
