local syncro sync to master
hello again,
To anyone who has a simple solution to this, I am trying to sync a local syncro with a 8 cycle len to the master with a 4 cyc len. Or, another way to describe what I am trying to do is make a step modules duration double the duration of the master cycle so it repeats exactly in sync to every second cycle. Ive tried linking the on outlet of the master syncro to a 0 to 1 module then into the restart of the local syncro to restart it on time but I also need it to restart when audio is turned on from the dashboard. Maybe there is a way to double the length of the steps module with some maths and do away with the local syncro entirely? The steps will be used to trigger a swap of the values in another steps which is sequencing a synth so exact timing precision is necessary.

not sure to follow all your question but :
can a toggle module do the job..?
this way he start each second time..?
and a on activation module on the on inlet of local synchro..

the toggle might be a good workaround but will only allow a trigger every second time?
When does the activation module send a 1 value? It does not seem to work with play or audio on.

just to know if i understand correctly your question..

that's an interesting solution. but they cycle dur is in milliseconds? I'm not sure if that will be completely accurate? I will try thanks.
another idea :

Couldn't you just use a counter to count the master cycles and use an '=' module to send a cycle start trigger to the local sync? Not sure I've thought this trhough for what you're asking (it's early monday here...) but I thought I'd throw it out there... hope it helps
[EDIT] Hmmmm, this
should work shouldn't it? It's not restarting the local sync cycle though. The '0 to 1' is definitely sending a blip and I can restart the local sync cycle by hitting restart on the module but it's not doing - confusing!?!
[EXTRA EDIT!!] Just fixed it by putting a button between the '0 to 1' and the restart - should that be necessary? Also tried with an LED module and it wouldn't work. Very strange? Is the '0 to 1' too fast at the moment?
PS - this is really kinda handy for keeping piano rolls in sync with other ones - COOL!

Thanks for all the suggestions. All very clever.
nay-seven,
I think you understand correctly. The toggle idea is clever but unfortunately this only allows it to repeat on the second start only. I failed to mention that in some cases the local sync would be 2 times or 4 times, etc duration of the master.
Clearscreen,
I actually tried something similar to yours but didn't think of using a counter.
I will try to work out a solution from these great ideas.
